The convergence of Islamic culture and lavish contracts has positioned the Saudi Pro League as a desirable destination for some elite footballers. Ultimately, which matters more?
This seems weirdly cynical. It presupposes the idea that players are primarily motivated by money and hand waives the other reasons cited as being some kind of convenient cover. Did we assume people wanted to play for Chelsea, Real or Manchester City primarily for the money? Was David Silva really just filling his bank account or was he attracted to the footballing project.
Which Islam are you talking about, Benzema has children with a woman without a marriage contract!! And Islam forbids that kind of money, my love. It is what is sought from the idiot who will refuse contracts like this from a country that has money like rice and has no oversight and no accounting for the people to control.
Interesting idea but I think the barrels of money are still the primary incentive
Certainly looks like it.
