This event (and subsequently tying themselves to the administration) is going to be such an albatross around the UFC and TKO's neck. Who could have forseen committing to this card well in advance that they'd be running it during an incredibly unpopular war and just ahead of its impending economic consequences?
This White House feels an awful lot like what happened with the first UFC Noche at the Sphere. Unfortunately for Endeavor, Riyadh Season won't be there to save them this time.
Even if they could, I don't know what would worse in this environment--being backed by Riyadh Season or CBS. Similar to UFC Noche at the Sphere though, the card could end up being entertaining, but it's facing such an uphill battle to get folks to ignore the optics of all the choices they made to stage this thing in the first place. They wanted to build a spectacle, but I don't think they wanted it to look like this.
I heard people say Francis Ngannou scammed the PFL, but I don't think there's not a bigger scam than Endeavor finessing Paramount for 7.7 billion dollars.
I’ll be surprised if this event happens… midterms coming up, war is full swing, price of oil going up… I foresee a “location change”

And as much as I hate his ass with a passion, Sean Strickland was right in that this isn't a show for the fans or casuals.
