Thanks for highlighting this and detailing everything. Are used to think Khabib may have been forced to hang out with the oligarchs, but now not so much. Also Luke Thomas said it best earlier this week. Sometimes the more you hear about your favorite MMA fighters outside the cage the more they disappoint you.
Khabib became associated with Magomedov at an earlier stage in his career, before he was making millions and turned into one of the most celebrated Muslim athletes after beating McGregor. Magomedov became his patron of sorts, sponsoring him to keep training and to represent Dagestan. Problem was Magomedov was a shady oligarch but Khabib was happy to turn the other cheek, as he does with so many of the awful characters he surrounds himself with.
