This is a well documented issue in Israel and something that has been mentioned by Israelis repeatedly over the past few years. Netanyahu has long opposed the PA and a Palestinian state, which is why he not only backed Hamas over PA in Gaza but also worked towards sabotaging the Oslo Accords years earlier.
