When the UFC’s Hitler fanboy got knocked the f*** out
Bryce Mitchell, the UFC's resident Nazi who fights again this weekend, once got shut down by a punch so perfect it could’ve been divine intervention.

Never has a knockout felt more like a public service.
Back in December 2023, Josh Emmett landed one of the most brutal knockouts in UFC history, sending Bryce Mitchell—the UFC’s resident bigot—to the shadow realm.
At the time, Mitchell was a rising star in the UFC’s featherweight division—and also one of its most committed conspiracy theorists. He peddled gems like the Earth being flat, school shootings being false flags, and a familiar favourite about Jews secretly running the government. He even once drilled into his own scrotum, just in case anyone was still on the fence about his intellectual prowess.
While some viewed Mitchell’s comments as harmless, his rhetoric continued to grow at an alarming pace. He took aim at LGBTQ+ people, trans existence, and same-sex marriage, even praising Adolf Hitler as someone he would like to go fishing with. Despite his Nazi-apologia, Mitchell faced no consequences for his actions, with UFC President Dana White insisting he needed to protect Mitchell’s right to “hate speech.”
It is therefore no surprise that Mitchell did not have to answer for his bigotry during the pre-fight press conference on Wednesday. Reporters were more interested in his thoughts on the latest UFC signing. It is small wonder why sports media, especially within combat sports, is in a sorry state.
Some of you will clutch your pearls and argue that we shouldn’t celebrate a fighter getting folded by the universe — even if said fighter doesn’t actually believe in the universe. I say you’re wrong. We live in an age where fascists and bigots are recast as misunderstood patriots, while their victims are framed as threats to the state — and to society itself. Mitchell is one of those bigots. And he deserves nothing less than another one-way ticket to Dreamland.
Take neo-Nazi Richard Spencer, for example. Following Trump’s first presidential victory in 2016, the white supremacist known for his Nazi and antisemitic rhetoric, was hit with a punch so hard it spurred an endless series of memes and YouTube remixes.
People want to see Nazis get punched in the face. The UFC knows this — and they’re counting on it. Instead of suspending Mitchell for his horrific Nazi apologia, they’re banking on the spectacle of him getting knocked out again. It’s an old playbook in the fight game, and the UFC continues to run it without shame.
I won’t be buying UFC 314. But I’ll admit — the idea of watching a Bible-thumping Hitler admirer get rocked back to Sunday school?
Yeah, it’s tempting.
Update: Despite having the support of the Miami crowd, as well as Donald Trump and members of his cabinet in attendance, Mitchell tapped out to a ninja choke and was briefly put to sleep in the second round of his UFC 314 fight on Saturday night.
Couldn’t have happened to a nicer Nazi.
